Cry-Baby, directed by Hairspray's John Waters, starring Johnny Depp his first musical. "Drape" (or Greaser) Wade Walker (Depp), also known as Cry-Baby for a tear stained on his face, falls head over heels of square Allison Vernon-Williams (Amy Locane) who wants to be bad. Co-starring Polly Bergen as Allison's grandmother; Ricki Lake as Cry-Baby's pregnant sister Pepper; Susan Tyrell and Iggy Pop as Wade & Pepper's aunt and uncle Ramona & Belvedere; and Stephen Baldwin as Allison's Drape-hating ex-boyfriend Baldwin. Another wacky John Waters movie appropriate for teens (along with Hairspray), because all his other movies are rated R, NC-17, or even X.
